The minutes of the Summer 2025 Corporation Meeting were read. Motion to accept minutes as read was made by Heath Chatman and seconded by Terrell Guillory. Motion passed. The minutes of the 2026 Mid-Winter Board of Directors Meeting were read for informational purposes.

Theme: “God Loves by Creating”
Throughout the week, lessons emphasized that God demonstrates His love through His creation, His provision, His promises, and ultimately through His plan of salvation. Each day’s lessons built upon the previous day’s message to help campers understand God’s love from Genesis through Christ.

Highlights & Notes:
The updated schedule flowed very well throughout the week. The adjustments made before camp allowed for smoother transitions between activities, better engagement during classes, and provided campers with a balanced mix of Bible study, recreation, and fellowship. The theme artwork, skits and visual aids helped reinforce the message of the week and was well received by campers.

One camper suffered a fractured collarbone on Saturday (prior to start of camp week). She returned home with her parents.
One camper swallowed a piece of a water balloon. She was examined by a doctor. No treatment required.
Closing Thoughts
Although there were no baptisms during Junior Week, seeds were planted through Bible classes, devotionals, personal discussions, and the example set by our teen workers and adult staff. We continue to trust God to provide the increase in His time.
Junior High Week (Jacob Roberts, Director/Ben Myers, Asst Director)

Theme: “Little Made Much” The week focused on the Feeding of the 5,000, the week asked, “What could God do with this?” Campers considered how God takes ordinary people, gifts, and lives and does extraordinary things when they are placed in the hands of an extraordinary Savior.
Daily Lesson Highlights
Sunday - The Need: Every miracle begins with a need only Jesus can meet (John 6:1-14).
Monday - See Jesus, Not the Problem: Problems are real, but Christ is greater than our calculations (John 6:5-7; Mark 6:35-37).
Tuesday - Bring What You Know: Like Andrew, believers can bring people and problems to Jesus (John 6:8-9; 1:40-42; 12:20-22).
Wednesday - Give Jesus What You Have: God uses young people, small gifts, and willing hearts surrendered to Him (John 6:9).
Thursday - Broken, Blessed, and Multiplied: Jesus takes, blesses, breaks, and multiplies what is placed in His hands (John 6:11-13).

Highlights & Notes:
3 baptisms, with an additional baptism at Glenmora COC the following Sunday, June 19, 2026. One of the aforementioned baptisms was our lifeguard, whom we hired/outsourced from a pool/lifeguard group in DeRidder.
Due to flooding in the Plaucheville/Bayou Jacques area, we had a handful of displaced individuals who came to camp for a short time, though they did not stay for the week of camp.

Theme: Welcome to the Battlefield
The theme, "Welcome to the Battlefield," set the tone for a week focused on equipping young people to understand the spiritual realities they face and to step confidently into the mission God has placed before them. Each night built intentionally on the last.
Lesson Highlights
We opened with an honest look at the reality of spiritual warfare, helping campers recognize the unseen battle that Scripture calls us to be aware of. From there, we moved into knowing the mission—clarifying what God calls His people to do and how each student fits into His larger plan. Midweek, the lessons shifted toward practical execution: cover and move, prioritize and execute. These lessons emphasized the importance of Christian community, discipline, and above all our relationship with Jesus. We closed the week with a call to lead with courage, urging campers to step boldly into leadership wherever God places them.

Old Business
A caretaker has not yet been found. On-going work is being managed by various ones.
New shop: Power and lights have been installed.
New sewer system for mess hall installed.
The a/c “upstairs” unit in kitchen was repaired. Thanks to Caleb Johnson for completing this item.
Several member churches continued in their support to take charge of grass mowing and checking on the camp for 2026. Responsible churches will have grass mowed weekly and check on general conditions of the camp during these months.

New Business
Duane Jolibois moved that CYE adopt a policy stating that baptisms conducted during CYE-sponsored events shall be administered by a man. If questions or exceptional circumstances arise regarding the application of this policy, at least three members of the CYE Board of Directors shall be contacted to review the matter and make a unified decision on behalf of the Board. The motion passed.
The roof over the kitchen area of the Mess Hall needs to be replaced prior to the 2027 camp season.
Several members have shown interest in building a pickleball court onsite.
Election of Board Members
Terms for Terrell Guillory, Brian McGee, and Greg Trahan expire today.
Jacob Roberts moved that all three Board members be re-elected by acclamation to serve an additional term. The motion was seconded by Weldon Hebert. The motion passed.
Duane Jolibois nominated Weldon Hebert to serve out the balance of Jamie Roberts’ term.
Greg Trahan moved that the nominations be closed with a second from Justin Simmons.
Motion passed.
Weldon was elected to serve for two years.
Election of Officers
Jacob Roberts moved that all current officers be re-elected by acclamation to serve another term, with a second from Mike Abbott. Motion passed.
Adjournment
A motion to adjourn was made by Duane Jolibois and seconded by Keith Deville. Motion passed. Greg Trahan led the closing prayer. Meeting adjourned at 11:48 AM.
